Sirai is a 2025 Indian Tamil language action thriller film that delivers a hard hitting social narrative.The title Sirai translates to Prison, both literally and emotionally.

The narrative follows Kathivaran, a member of the Armed Reserves.He receives the duty of escorting undertrial prisoners between court and prison.

Abdul Rauf is one such undertrial under his watch.Rauf spent five years moving between prison and courtrooms.He cannot afford legal representation.He also faces systemic neglect because of his Muslim identity.

The film unfolds in 2003 and frequently shifts back to 1997.These shifts anchor the story around the Coimbatore bomb blasts.
