WPL 2026 : RCB’s star all rounder Pooja Vastrakar likely to miss 2 more weeks, due to hamstring injury

RCB’s star Pooja Vastrakar all rounder sustain an injury during the match of Mumbai Indians. According to the reports injury is not as serious as feared and she will be available for the later parts of the season. Her injuries come into the limelight while on her way to the BCCI Centre of Excellence during season opener of WPL.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru started a campaign their campaign of WPL on a winning note as they beat the defending champions Mumbai Indians In a high intensity match. However that win come with a minor cost as star bowler Pooja Vastarkar got injured in her hamstring.

“Pooja Vastrakar is not available for the selection. Two days prior to her release from the centre of excellence she unfortunately tweaked her hamstring it’s going to take two weeks more” RCB’s head coach Malolan Rangarajan confirm the setback after thrilling win of three-wicket over the defending champions Mumbai Indians.

“The information we have at the moment is that she’s going to need two weeks more. She was there for her shoulder and now picked up a hamstring issue,” he added.

Pooja Vastrakar once touted to be the successor of Jhulan Gosawami, but unfortunately found herself of the field during the crucial movement and tournaments for the Indian women’s cricket team. As the Indian Pacer has suffered many injuries, in a her career which was kept her out of the field for the long swathes of time.

According to the report Pooja’s injury is not as serious as feared and she will be available for the later parts of the season which will be played in Vadodara. Despite the setback of 26 year old pays bowling all rounder Pooja Vastrakar RCB is going to remain optimistic about her return later in the season the team will look to manage workload carefully as they are aiming for a consistency in the wpl 2026 campaign.
