Paramount to develop new ‘A Nightmare on Elm Road’ movie

Los Angeles: ‘Paramount Footage’ is creating a brand new movie set on this planet of the horror basic ‘A Nightmare on Elm Road’, marking the return of the enduring slasher Freddy Krueger.

In line with ‘Selection’, the Hollywood banner has acquired the US rights to adapt the unique screenplay of the 1984 horror movie from the property of filmmaker Wes Craven.

The untitled mission is being developed beneath ‘Paramount Primal’, the studio’s newly launched style label. Although plot particulars have been saved beneath wraps, the movie is alleged to be based mostly on the unique ‘A Nightmare on Elm Road’ and revisit the world of Freddy Krueger, the disfigured serial killer who stalks his victims of their desires.

Craven’s widow, Iya Labunka and son Jonathan Craven will produce the movie alongside Marc Toberoff, who represented the filmmaker’s household in regaining possession rights to the unique movie.
