Madhuri Dixit Returns to Digital Screens with Mrs. Deshpande, the Indian Adaptation of La Mante
Madhuri Dixit makes a powerful return to the digital space with Mrs. Deshpande, a psychological crime thriller that marks her comeback after The Fame Game (2022).
Often celebrated as the “dancing queen” of Hindi cinema, Dixit now steps into a dark and complex role, making the series one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

The series promises an intense narrative rooted in crime, psychology, and moral ambiguity.
The story centres on Mrs. Deshpande, a notorious serial killer serving a prison sentence. When a copycat killer replicates her methods, the police seeks her help to track the criminal.
As the investigation unfolds, the series explores power, manipulation, and the unsettling mind of a woman who refuses to be easily understood.
Madhuri Dixit essays the titular role, supported by Siddharth Chandekar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and Diksha Juneja in pivotal roles.
Mrs.Deshpande is set to premiere at midnight on December 19, 2025. It will have all six episodes releasing simultaneously.
The show has already generated significant buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting Dixit’s return in a layered, unconventional role.
Speaking about the series, Dixit shared, “Mrs. Deshpande is a character with many layers. She’s like an onion, and with every episode, you peel away another layer.”
