MI VS UPW : Unchanged UP Warriorz bowl, MI brings back Sciver-Brunt for Matthews

UPW have lost the three consecutive games and another loss will seriously hamper their playoff qualification chances. On 15 Jan UP Warriorz is going to face defending Champions Mumbai Indians.

UP Warriorz squad opted to ball in the search of their first win WPL 2026 against Mumbai Indians. UPW have lost three consecutive match in a series and are at the bottom of the points table. For them another loss will seriously hinder their playoffs qualification chances in the WPL.

UPW’s decision makes it to the 30th IPL game in a row where the team winning the toss has opted to bowl. UPW Skipper Meg Lanning said “it’s a good chance to put Mumbai under some pressure early.”

Playing this game with a 24 hours of their loss to close match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday night on the same ground. Last year champions Mumbai is currently at second in points table with two wins from three games. They brought back Nat Sciver Brunt who missed the last two games with illness and rest Hayley Matthews who had missed MI’s first two matches with a shoulder niggle. It means MI will feel four quicks and three spinners apart from the part time service of Humanpreet Kaur and Sanjana.
