Saif Ali Khan drops a significant replace on ‘Haiwaan’

Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, one of the crucial common on-screen pairings of the Nineties and 2000s, are set to reunite after 17 years within the upcoming thriller ‘Haiwaan’. The movie marks their seventh collaboration after ‘Yeh Dillagi’ (1994), ‘Fundamental Khiladi Tu Anari’ (1994), ‘Tu Chor Fundamental Sipahi’ (1996), ‘Keemat’ (1998), ‘Aarzoo’ (1999) and ‘Tashan’ (2008). As followers eagerly await their reunion, Saif just lately opened up about working with Akshay once more.

Throughout a chat with ‘Selection India’, Saif Ali Khan talked about that ‘Haiwaan’ feels utterly completely different from their earlier movies. “We’re very fortunate that he’s enjoying this half within the film. It’s much more thrilling as a result of it’s a harmful, damaging function and I haven’t seen him do that fairly often. I’m very excited to see it,” he shared.

Speaking about their decades-long bond and friendship, Saif referred to as Akshay a ‘brother’ and added, “I like Akshay. He’s like an elder brother to me. We’ve seen one another earlier than. We go all the way in which again. There’s a particular respect for somebody who has served so long as he has. We’ve simply gone by way of a lot collectively. We’ve at all times had nice chemistry.”

Whereas ‘Haiwaan’ is a severe movie, each Saif and Akshay would usually idiot round on the set and get playfully scolded by director Priyadarshan. “Priyan sir will get a bit dismissive of us. He says, ‘You’re behaving like naughty kids’. Akshay says, ‘He brings that out in me’. I inform him, ‘You carry that out in me’. We’ve been speaking garbage ever since we met on the set. Once we’re alone, we’re a bit extra mature. However collectively,” he recalled.

When requested if followers can count on the duo’s signature comedic chemistry, Saif clarified that ‘Haiwaan’ explores a very completely different dynamic. “This movie doesn’t depend on that comedic chemistry, which can be good as a result of I believe that has had its time,” he mentioned.
