Indian all rounder, Washington Sundar will not be a part of the remaining ODI series after being reported of acute discomfort in his left lower rib area, while bowling in the first ODI at Vadodara in BCA stadium on Sunday.
For the upcoming T20I world cup India faces another blow in the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand after Tilak Varma’s sudden surgery, Sundar is ruled out from the ODI series against New Zealand.
According to the reports, Sundar will undergo further scans, after which BCCI Medical team will seek expert opinion to assess the extent of the injury.
When Sundar comes to bat against New Zealand due to sudden fall of wicket, he struggles to change the strike. “Sundar is not feeling good in the field, he is struggling to change the strike” commentator comments.
Sundar is a part of the Indian’s T20 world cup squad, and his sudden injury has increased the tension of team management after Tilak Varma. India is set to co-host the world cup with Sri Lanka. Apart from Washington Sundar, Tilak Varma will miss the first three t20Is against Black Caps – New Zealand.
