Shilpa Shinde returns as Angoori Bhabi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! 2.0, marking a much-anticipated comeback to the role that brought her immense popularity.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain is a Hindi-language television sitcom that first aired on 2 March 2015 on &TV .It is now available for streaming on Zee5.

 The show revolves around two neighbouring couples, the Mishras and the Tiwaris. Their humorous conflicts arise from the husbands attracted to each other’s wives. Their repeated but unsuccessful attempts to impress them form the core of the show’s comedy.

Shilpa Shinde played the character of Angoori Bhabi in the initial phase of the show . Later, she exited in March 2016 following disputes with the makers. She later spoke publicly about facing mental harassment during her time on the show.

Despite the controversy, Shinde made a strong comeback through reality television. She participated in Bigg Boss 11 and emerged as the winner, significantly reviving her career. 

She later appeared in Gangs of Filmistan, which she eventually left. In 2020, she portrayed Queen Meerawati in the web series Paurashpur. In recognition of her popularity, Times ranked her seventh among the Top 10 Television Actresses in 2018.

Her reality show journey continued with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, where she was eliminated in the seventh week. Further, in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, in which she finished in ninth place.

Beyond entertainment, Shilpa Shinde also stepped into politics. She joined the Indian National Congress on 5 February 2019, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
