Rishab Shetty to obtain Management in Cinema Award at IFFM 2026

New Delhi: Actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty will likely be honoured with the Management in Cinema Award on the Indian Movie Competition of Melbourne.

The Management in Cinema Award will recognise Shetty’s contribution to increasing the worldwide dialog round Indian cinema by championing narratives which are unapologetically rooted, culturally genuine and artistically bold. The award will likely be introduced to Shetty, who will attend the competition as a marquee visitor, on August 13, based on a press launch.

Shetty, identified for tasks similar to ‘Kantara’, ‘Ricky’ and others, mentioned he’s honoured to obtain the award. “I’m deeply honoured to obtain the Management in Cinema Award from the Indian Movie Competition of Melbourne. Storytelling has at all times been my approach of celebrating our tradition, our traditions and the communities that encourage us,” he mentioned.

“It’s extremely significant to see tales rooted in our heritage resonate with audiences the world over. I sit up for being in Melbourne and celebrating the unbelievable variety and energy of Indian cinema with fellow filmmakers and audiences,” he added.

Competition Director Mitu Bhowmick Lange mentioned, “Rishab Shetty represents a brand new technology of Indian filmmakers whose work is each deeply rooted and globally related. We’re delighted to honour him with the Management in Cinema Award and sit up for welcoming him to IFFM 2026,” he added.

The competition will happen in Melbourne, Australia.
