Tamil Nadu’s veteran communal thinker, freedom fighter and former chief of the Communist Occasion of India, Comrade Ira. Nallakannu’s a hundredth birthday was celebrated at this time. In appreciation of Nallakannu’s excellent contributions to the Tamil folks, the Authorities of Tamil Nadu honored him with the ‘Tagaisal Tamilar’ award in 2022.
