Amanda Seyfried to voice Cinderella in ‘Steps’

Los Angeles: Hollywood star Amanda Seyfried has been roped in to voice the character of Cinderella for Netflix’s authentic animated movie ‘Steps’. The movie is an animated reimagining of the Cinderella story, specializing in her stepsisters and is scheduled for launch in 2026.

The actress shared an image of her character on her ‘Instagram’ account on Wednesday, asserting the information. “‘STEPS’ @netflixfilm,” she wrote within the caption.

It’s directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa and revolves round stepsister Lilith (Ali Wong), who’s wrongly blamed for a mishap on the royal ball. She should crew up with Cinderella (Seyfried) and her sister Margot (Stephanie Hsu) to avoid wasting the dominion.

Tzue stated Seyfried has the power to make her characters particular and relatable.

“Amanda has this unimaginable means to make her characters particular and relatable and we completely wanted that when taking up a personality that’s as legendary as Cinderella,” the filmmaker stated.

Tzue added, “We wished to create a contemporary heroine full with flaws and coping mechanisms and Amanda instantly understood the duty. Her portrayal of Cinderella is hilarious and heartbreaking and most significantly, refreshingly human.”

The movie is produced by Amy Poehler, Jane Hartwell and Kim Lessing.
