India lifts 6th, U19 ICC World Cup, Vaibhav Suryavanshi hits 175 runs in final against England

India wrote another historic script under Ayush Mahtre, by winning their sixth ICC World Cup title. A dominating victory over England in the final at Harare Sports Club England. The win included a perfect blend of youthfull brilliance and a calm composed leadership under Ayush Mhatre. Experts believes that India’s cricket world is in safe hands.

After winning the toss, India chose to bat first – the Indian batting unit showed intent at very beginning of the match, aggressive yet controlled batting. The extraordinary knock comes from 16-year-old batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi who stole the limelight of the day on the grandest stage.

Suryavanshi scored 175 runs off 80 balls. His knock powered India to a massive total of 411/9 in 50 overs, put England under immense pressure. England begin the inning, replying Indian bowler with intent. But India’s disciplined bowling attack, halted England’s momentum. England were eventually bowled out for 311 in 40.2 overs, sealing a comprehensive 100-run victory for India. As the final wicket fell, celebrations erupted both on the field and in the stands.

Under Ayush Mhatre’s composed captaincy, India showcased perfect dominance, balance and fearlessness throughout the tournament.

Former Indian Captain & India’s star batter Virat Kohli praised U19 team tweeted, “Congratulation to the Under 19 Team India for lifting the World Cup once again Our domination in the age group cricket and beyond continues. Well done to the whole squad and the support staff.”
