Hollywood Director Rob Reiner and wife Michele Found Dead in LA Home: Sources Suspect Son Nick Reiner

Rob Reiner, famous Hollywood director and ex-sitcom actor, and wife Michele is said to have been killed by their son, Nick.

Rob Reiner started out as a popular sitcom actor, starring in “All in the Family” from 1971-78 and went on to direct a number of beloved classics and is best known for films including “This is Spinal Tap”, “When Harry met Sally” and “The Princess Bride.”

His and his wife’s untimely death was announced by Mayor Karen Bass of Los Angeles. The LA police Department has stated that investigation is underway for an “apparent homicide” at the Reiners’ residence.

Rob Reiner had proved himself as a director and a producer throughout his illustrious career, while continuing to work as an actor. He was a rare Hollywood figure, memorable both for his works behind and in front of the camera as well as his incredible activism for many a liberal cause, including LGBTQIA+ rights.

It was through the making of the film, “When Harry Met Sally” that he had met his to-be wife, Michele Singer who was then working as a photographer in New York. They fell in love and married seven months later, a development that influenced the ending of the film.

Conversely, in this shocking turn of events, multiple sources who spoke with family members after the Rob and Michele were discovered at their home, seem to suspect the couple to have been killed by their son, Nick. Nick had previously struggled with drug addiction and n a 2016 interview with PEOPLE, mentioned that he had been exposed to drugs in his early teens, to the point where he suffered from homelessness. This experience influenced him to co-write the film “Being Charlie” which is semi-autobiographical.
