It is a conflict between two cultures of cinema

New Delhi: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shared a prolonged notice on social media as he addressed the upcoming launch of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and ‘Poisonous: A Fairy Story for Grown-Ups’ on March 19 and stated it’s a ‘brutal conflict between two cultures of cinema’.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is a sequel to the earlier movie, led by Ranveer Singh. Launched in December 2025, it went on to cross Rs 1000 crore on the field workplace. ‘Poisonous’ options Yash within the lead function of a ruthless gangster and is directed by Geetu Mohandas.

Varma uploaded a publish on his ‘X’ deal with as he shared his ideas on the conflict. “THE #Dhuroxic PARK NO, I’m not speaking about TWO BIG FILMS #Dhurandhar2 and #Poisonous releasing on March nineteenth. I’m really speaking a few NEVER BEFORE SEEN or EXPERIENCED legendary archetype EXPLODING within the GRAND ARENA of INDIAN CINEMAS. It’s a BATTLE between DAVID AND GOLIATH,” he wrote.

“I strongly consider that #Dhuroxic will not be about North towards South, not Bollywood towards Sandalwood. It’s really a brutal conflict between two CULTURES, not of areas, however of cinema. The principal distinction between the 2 is that #Dhurandhar respects the viewers’s intelligence and #Poisonous presumes their dumbness… #Dhurandhar, a reported 130 cr DAVID movie (each variations collectively price some 260 cr) hit some 1500 cr, proving that the so-called MASSES are literally way more INTELLIGENT than what the MASALA MERCHANTS ever imagined.”
