Capturing of Sourav Ganguly’s biopic begins at ex-cricketer’s Kolkata house

KOLKATA: After a couple of days of capturing in Mumbai, director Vikramaditya Motwane has began filming essential scenes of Sourav Ganguly’s biopic, tentatively titled ‘Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story’, in Kolkata. Curiously, on Monday, the forged and crew filmed vital scenes on the former Indian cricket captain’s home in Behala in south Kolkata. By now, everyone knows that Rajkummar Rao will probably be seen taking part in Sourav within the biopic.

Bengali actress Aparajita Auddy was seen in a white and pink bordered saree, capturing for the much-awaited Bollywood film. She will probably be seen as Nirupa Ganguly, Sourav’s mom, within the movie. On Monday, Motwane shot a sequence the place a toddler actor, who performs Sourav’s growing-up years, was seen coming house. On the different finish of his home, a little bit lady was seen keeping track of him. Reportedly, this sequence reveals the childhood love story of Sourav and his spouse, dancer Dona Ganguly.

In the meantime, Saswata Chatterjee, who will probably be seen as Sourav’s father, Chandi Ganguly, reportedly shot a couple of sequences in Mumbai. Rahul Dev Bose will probably be seen taking part in Sourav’s brother Snehasish Ganguly. The makers have reportedly forged Tanya Maniktala within the function of Dona Ganguly. A number of names of Bengali actresses, like Mimi Chakraborty and Ishaa Saha, have been doing the rounds.

Motwane will shoot for the biopic in varied areas in Kolkata. In a current podcast, Sourav praised Rao’s performing abilities and stated that the film will seize the journey of Indian cricket throughout his period.
