Aditya Rawal on his position in ‘Subedaar’

Through the years, Aditya Rawal has carved a definite area of interest for himself, portraying intense, morally complicated characters, most not too long ago leaving a mark as Sajid in Prime Video’s ‘Daldal’. However in ‘Subedaar’, he steps right into a darker territory because the formidable Prince, a unstable antagonist who squares off towards Anil Kapoor’s Subedaar Arjun Maurya within the much-awaited action-drama movie. The trailer gives placing glimpses of simmering stress and sudden bursts of aggression by the mobster, hinting at a personality pushed by energy, insecurity and the fixed want for validation.

Talking about entering into Prince’s fractured psyche, Aditya shared, “Truthfully, up to now, I’ve performed fairly a couple of characters with gray shades. I’ve performed gangsters. I’ve performed a terrorist and I’ve performed younger males who’ve strayed from their path. However I’ve by no means performed someone as unhinged and wicked as Prince.”

However what drew him in wasn’t simply the darkness. It was the fragility beneath it. Aditya added, “What actually struck me was his vulnerability. Mainly, this individual does what he does for consideration and to show that he’s able to being the king. That inferiority complicated drives every little thing. If he asserts energy, it’s as a result of he’s making an attempt to show he’s a minimum of Mona Singh’s character, Babli didi. The extra insecure he feels, the extra he explodes. That stage of insecurity was what made him most attention-grabbing to me.”

‘Subedaar’ is directed by Suresh Triveni, identified for his acclaimed storytelling in ‘Tumhari Sulu’, ‘Jalsa’ and ‘Daldal’ and is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor and Suresh Triveni. Starring Anil Kapoor and Radhikka Madan within the lead roles, alongside Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik, Mona Singh and Khushboo Sundar in pivotal roles, it’ll premiere completely on ‘Prime Video’ on March 5.
