Abhishek Sharma discharged from hospital, his presence in next match is not confirmed.

Indian opening batter Abhishek Sharma has been discharged from the hospital after sustaining a stomach infection. His availability for the next match is still under a cloud of uncertainty. The team will assess his condition tomorrow, and then they will decide on his participation, stated Tilak Varma.

Team India’s opening batter, Abhishek Sharma, has been discharged from the hospital after sustaining a stomach infection. According to the reports, he got admit in Monday and remained hospitalised on Tuesday. In a recent press conference in Delhi, Indian Cricketer Tilak Varma stated that,

“Abhishek (Indian batter Abhishek Sharma) has been discharged today. We will decide how he feels tomorrow and take a call on the game.”

Further, he stated,

“We have got one more day for the game. Hopefully we decide by tomorrow on how he feels and we go with it.”

Abhishek Sharma is an important asset for Team India for T20 World Cup 2026. He is currently in his best form, playing with the field. In the warm-up match, he had shown he can defend the ball well. If Abhishek Sharma didn’t feel well, then Sanju Samson can be seen opening with Ishan Kishan against Namibia, which is set to be played on 12 February, Thursday in Delhi’s Arun Jaitely Stadium.
