Advised Leonardo DiCaprio to drop his ‘Titanic’ function for ‘Boogie Nights’: John C Reilly
Los Angeles: Actor John C Reilly tried convincing Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio to reject James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ and as an alternative select ‘Boogie Nights’.
The actor described his equation with ‘Boogie Nights’ filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson as ‘thick as thieves’ following their collaboration on his 1996 directorial debut movie ‘Onerous Eight’. Reilly, who has labored with DiCaprio within the 1993 movie ‘What’s Consuming Gilbert Grape’, stated he was assured he would get the actor in ‘Boogie Nights’.
DiCaprio was already within the limelight after his breakthrough function alongside Robert De Niro within the biographical drama movie ‘This Boy’s Life’. When Anderson approached the actor for his movie, DiCaprio had already signed ‘Titanic’.
“I met him when he was 17. And I used to be like, ‘Give me the project, Paul. I’ll get this man to do your film. I’ve recognized him since he was a child’,” Reilly recalled on the ‘The place Everyone Is aware of Your Identify’ podcast.
