Singer Suman Kalyanpur dies at 89
Mumbai: Veteran singer Suman Kalyanpur, who gave her voice to hits akin to ‘Na Na Karte’ and ‘Tumne pukara’, handed away on Sunday night at her residence as a result of age-related points, a detailed pal stated. She was 89.
“Suman ji handed away at round 8 pm at her residence in Lokhandwala as a result of previous age. She handed away peacefully. For the previous few days, she was listening to her personal songs,” Mangala Khadilkar, who authored the acclaimed Marathi biography ‘Suman Sugandh’ on the singer, instructed PTI.
Kalyanpur gained reputation together with her melodious voice between the Nineteen Sixties and Nineteen Seventies. She managed to create a distinct segment for herself alongside the highest singer of the time, Lata Mangeshkar.
A few of Kalyanpur’s widespread songs are ‘Aajkal tere mere pyar ke charche’, ‘Na na karte pyar tumhin se’, ‘Tumne pukara aur hum chale aaye’ and plenty of others.
