‘Matka King’ is ready to return for Season 2

‘Prime Video’ introduced season two of its breakout ‘Authentic’ drama collection, ‘Matka King’, is in improvement following the large success of season one. Set towards the fast-changing backdrop of Nineteen Sixties Bombay, the high-stakes drama struck a robust chord with audiences by means of its gripping narrative of ambition, energy and id, delivered to life with compelling performances and immersive storytelling.

The primary season emerged because the most-watched new scripted collection on the service within the final two years, trending within the ‘Prime 10’ throughout 37 nations and rating #1 in 17 nations inside its opening week. Garnering widespread acclaim from viewers, the collection has strengthened that rooted genuine tales resonate deeply with audiences in India and worldwide.

Created and written by Abhay Koranne and created, written and directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, the eight-episode collection of season one was led by the dynamic Vijay Varma, alongside Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Siddharth Jadhav, Bhupendra Jadawat and Gulshan Grover in pivotal roles, supported by a proficient ensemble forged together with Bharat Jadhav, Girish Kulkarni, Jamie Lever, Kishor Kadam, Cyrus Sahukar, Arpita Sethiya, Sambhaji Tangade, Ishtiyak Khan, Sanjivv Jotangia and Simran Ashwini in pivotal roles, bringing depth and authenticity to the narrative.
