This pandemic has left no one in the time of difficulties, from homeless people to big actors, everybody got hit by it. Be it getting tested COVID-positive or facing a financial crunch, this pandemic wrapped everybody on its radar.
Recently, the Bachchan family got tested positive for COVID-19 and now, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya fame, actor Anupam Shyam who played the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh is facing a financial crisis. He’s admitted to ICU because of severe health issues.
According to the actor’s brother, Anurag, Anupam was undergoing dialysis at Apex Kidney Care in the north Mumbai suburb of Malad. The 62-year-old actor was shifted to Lifeline Hospital in Goregaon on Monday after he collapsed during dialysis. “Since we couldn’t admit him there, we rushed him to Lifeline Hospital immediately. He is currently in ICU,” Anurag told PTI.
The family has reached out to the actor’s friends and also have received a call from Manoj Bajpayee, his “Satya” co-star.
Not just television shows, he has even been a part of movies like–Lajja, Dubai Return, Shakti: The Power, Bandit Queen, internationally acclaimed movie Slumdog Millionaire. Apart from that, he has also acted in numerous international films set in India.
Other than Anupam, there were reports of other television actors who are also facing financial crunch due to COVID-19.
