Star Plus’ popular drama ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’, which will complete two successful years in March 2020, was speculated to take a leap next month. The show which strs Mohit Malik and Aakriti Sharma as the main leads, was recently shifted to the 6:30pm slot to make way for ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’ at 8:30pm.
There were reports in the media, that Mohit Malik, who plays the character of Sikandar in the show will leave the show post the generation leap as the actor was not keen to play the role of a father to grown-up girls.
As per latest reports, Channel has scrapped the leap and Mohit will continue to feature in the show.
According to a report in an entertainment portal, Star Plus auditioned several girls to play Kufli and Amyra and also men for Sikandar’s role. However, they couldn’t zero down suitable actors to play the lead roles in the show. As of now, ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’ won’t take a leap.
Mohit Malik too have confirmed to a leading entertainment news portal that the leap has been cancelled and he is not quitting the show.
Interestingly, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ will be shifted to 7pm slot from December 23 after ‘Namah’ goes off air.
