Theatres to run at 100% capacity almost a year after Covid19 took over; Trade analyst Komal Nahta shares!

Theatres used to be people’s escape from reality. Audience would wait till the day their favourite star’s movie came out or catch up some great movie coming out but ever since the pandemic took over almost a year ago the theatres had to be shut. Now almost a year later we have a bearer of good news— trade analyst Komal Nahta.

Komal Nahta, Bollywood’s trade analyst took to Twitter to share a news that people have been awaiting for a long time now. With all businesses slowly opening, it was only a matter of time before theatres opened up and we’re allowed to run on full capacity. Nahta has confirmed that Government has passed the order of allowing 100 % capacity of theatres to be used.

A lot of movies chose to wait and not go directly for an OTT release can now reschedule their releases. With many big banner production owned movies like ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘ ’83’, ‘Radhe’ and many more waiting for theatres to be open, now they can schedule their releases for the audiences to come back and watch their movie in large numbers.

While theatres open up the past one year was all about OTT. Although the theaters opened up a while back the re-releases and a few other small movies could not bring in a larger audience. However, this announcement of the government sounds like a game-changer and people should be able to enjoy movies with their friends and family on the big screen soon.
