In Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case, many twists and turns have been witnessed. A few days ago, Sushant’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family in Patna, Bihar. After the FIR, the Bihar police team came to Mumbai for investigation and had interrogated few people related to the case.
Today, Bihar police demanded a CBI investigation. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also got a green flag from the late actor’s family for the CBI probe in the case. CM Nitish said that he will soon start the procedure to get it done.
As reported in a news daily, Rhea’s lawyer advocate Satish Maneshinde said in a statement, “The Petition Filed by Rhea Chakraborty in SC that Bihar Police had no jurisdiction to investigate the case will continue in SC. There cannot be a transfer of a case that had no legal basis for Bihar to get involved. At the most, it would be a “Zero FIR” and transferable to Mumbai Police. The transfer of a case on which they had no jurisdiction to CBI has no legal sanctity.”
Satish said Bihar police has no jurisdiction. “This illegal method has been adopted. Otherwise, you are interfering in the Federal Structure of our Nation in a back door manner. It touches the very root of the Federal Structure based on which India became a Republic by Union of States.” concluded Satish.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai on June 14. Mumbai police have interrogated more than 50 people bye now.
