After AR Rahman, another Oscar-winning talent from the industry stopped getting work. Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty also shared his story, replying to Shekhar Kapur’s recent tweet.
Shekhar Kapur recently tweeted about why AR Rahman got stopped getting work in the industry, he wrote, “You know what your problem is @arrahman? You went and got #Oscars An Oscar is the kiss of death in Bollywood. It proves you have more talent than Bollywood can handle ..”

Resul replied to Shekhar’s tweet and wrote, “Dear @shekharkapur ask me about it, I had gone through near breakdown as nobody was giving me work in Hindi films and regional cinema held me tight after I won the Oscar… There were production houses told me at my face “we don’t need you” but still I love my industry,for it….,”

Recently, in an interview, AR Rahman disclosed why he does fewer projects in the Hindi industry and more in the Tamil industry. He has composed music for all songs of Dil Bechara starrer Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi.
In his latest interview, he talked about false rumors being spread about him in the industry. Director Mukesh Chhabra told Rahman as how he was being stopped from approaching Rahman.
AR Rahman tweeted to move on, “Lost Money comes back, fame comes back, but the wasted prime time of our lives will never come back. Peace! Lets move on. We have greater things to do,” wrote Rahman.
