Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on September 8 after being grilled for 3 days in a row. During her interrogation, the actress admitted procuring drugs for the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Along with Rhea, her brother Showik and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested on September 4.
However, Rhea had filed a bail plea before she was produced before the court via video conferencing, but the court had rejected her plea. Rhea had applied for the bail plea again with her brother Showik in a special court but that too was rejected. Rhea was sent under the judicial custody of the NCB on September 8 till September 22.
Today, Rhea’s judicial custody was supposed to get over but the NCB had requested for extending Rhea’s as well as others’ judicial custody. As per Times Now, Judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty, Showik, Dipesh, Samuel Miranda & Zaid has been extended till Oct 6.
Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty have filed an application for bail in the NDPS Case in the Bombay High Court. It is coming up for hearing on 23rd Sept 2020 before Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The details of the bail applications will be shared after the hearing on 23rd Sept.
