The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has tightened its investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Rhea Chakraborty was interrogated by the ED yesterday. In several hours of ED interrogation, Rhea has said that she did not use Sushant’s money in any of her investments. Rhea has also said that she took a loan from the bank to buy a flat in Mumbai’s suburban area.
According to media reports, Rhea told during ED’s inquiry that she had bought a flat of Rs 85 lakh in Khar (East) for which she took a bank loan. She claimed that she paid 25 Lakhs rupees for the flat, in installment, from her savings. Rhea has also denied using Sushant’s money for her personal expenses. She has claimed that she was running her expenses from her earnings. Rhea revealed during interrogation, that she was the director of only one of Sushant’s 2 firms.
The ED may call Rhea again for further inquiries. Apart from Rhea, ED officials have also questioned Sushant’s former business manager Shruti Modi. ED officials are also investigating a flat purchased in Khar (East) and a flat purchased in Navi Mumbai by the ‘Jalebi’ actress.
The ED on Friday recorded Rhea’s statement after a long interrogation. The ED has also interrogated her brother Shouvik Chakraborty and her father Indrajit has also been called for questioning. The ED is investigating the financial transactions of Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant’s father has claimed in his report that Rs 15 crore has been withdrawn from his son’s account.
