Filmmaker Subhash Ghai released a statement following allegations by Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary and said that he was shocked to hear about it. He said that he is a good friend of the actress and is still in her contact. Ghai provided information about whatever happened after the release of the film ‘Pardes’. Ghai clearly stated that everything had returned to normal after Mahima apologized.
Subhash Ghai further said that yes, there was a small controversy in 1997 after the release of Pardes. Pardes was a blockbuster film, and Mahima also received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the film.
He said, ‘My company sent her a show-cause notice for breach of contract. The media and industry reacted a lot, after which I canceled her contract with Mukta (Ghai’s Company). Three years later, she came with her family and apologized. I forgave her and we became friends again. ‘
Earlier, Mahima had made serious allegations against Subhash Ghai. She claimed that Subhash had bullied her and messaged all the producers and said that no one should work with her. Mahima told Bollywood Hungama that Subhash Ghai took her to court and wanted to cancel her first show too.
