Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer on Friday made a sensational claim taking it to his Twitter. In his tweet, he claimed that Sushant died by strangulation and a doctor from AIIMS has confirmed this to him. Lawyer Vikas Singh also held a press conference on Friday evening and expressed his unhappiness with CBI’s pace of the investigation.
Vikas Singh’s tweet read, “Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI deciding to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR. The Doctor who is part of the AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide.”

However, reacting to lawyer Vikas Singh’s claim, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde took a dig at him. Maneshinde in his statement to TOI said, “The Disclosure of a 200 percent conclusion by an AIIMS Doctor in the team headed by Dr. Gupta in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, on the basis of the photograph is a dangerous trend. To keep the investigations impartial and free from inference, the CBI must constitute a new Medical Board. The agencies are being pressurized to reach a pre-determined result for obvious reasons on the eve of Bihar Elections. We have seen the VRS of DGP unfolding a few days back. There should not be a repetition of such steps.”
Maneshinde said that decision based on a photograph is a dangerous trend and investigation should be impartial and free from inference. Meanwhile, Maneshinde’s client Rhea Chakraborty is still in the Byculla jail as the Bombay High Court deferred her bail plea till September 29.
