In a statement, he said, “We are delighted by the Order of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty. Truth and Justice have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal.”

He continued slamming the witch-hunt and said, “The arrest and custody of Rhea were unwarranted and beyond the reach of the law. The hounding and witch hunt by three central agencies.. the CBI, ED, and the NCB of Rhea should come to an end. We remained committed to Truth. Satya Meva Jayate.”

However, Rhea was granted the bail by the Bombay High Court on Wednesday, but her brother Showik Chakraborty‘s bail has been rejected by the court and he will stay under the judicial custody of the NCB till October 20.

For the unversed, Rhea was arrested by the NCB on September 8 after she was grilled for 3 days in a row by the agency. The ED had earlier found evidence of drugs from Rhea’s WhatsApp chat which lead to the involvement of NCB.
