In Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau last week in connection with drug-link. Along with Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty was also arrested by the agency. Rhea and Showik, both admitted procuring drugs for the late actor. On Monday morning, Showik’s childhood friend Suryadeep Malhotra has been detained by the agency after conducting searched at his house.

Rhea had filed a bail plea before she was produced before the court via video conferencing on the day of her arrest, but the court rejected her bail. However, Rhea along with Showik filed another fresh bail plea in a special court which was also rejected later on.

Now, it was being speculated that Rhea and Showik are likely to apply another bail plea in High Court today. However, the actress’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde who’s representing both Rhea, as well as her brother Showik, has shared a statement regarding the bail plea.

The lawyer shared his statement saying that they are in no hurry to apply for bail. He stated, “Even if we get a copy of the Order today, we are not in a hurry and moving immediately… we will study the order, it’s implications and developments in the case at the NCB level and then decide. There’s no room for speculation… once it is filled we will share a copy of the bail application.”

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the agency after she was grilled for 3 days in a row and her brother Showik was arrested on September 4 along with Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda.
