Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty along with others were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau last for procuring and consuming drugs. The actress had filed a bail plea before she was sent to 14-days judicial custody, but the court had rejected it.
Recently, Rhea and Showik’s fresh bail plea was filed again in a special court. The special court reserved its verdict on Thursday and announced it today. In today’s court session, the court again rejected their bail plea and extended Showik’s judicial custody along with Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Samuel Miranda and alleged drug peddlers Zaid Vilatra and Basit Parihar have been sent to 14-day judicial custody by the Mumbai sessions court. They had all applied for bail but it has been rejected.
As per the Republic TV report, after the bail got rejected, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde issued a statement and said, “Once we get a copy of the NDPS Special Court Order, we will decide next week on the course of action about approaching the High Court.”
Rhea Chakraborty along with her brother Showik and others alleged is currently lodged in Byculla jail.
