Rhea’s lawyer has submitted a fresh bail plea before special judge GB Gurao and has said that the offenses against Rhea are bailable and also that Rhea was interrogated only by male officers and no woman officer was present in the room, which contravened the law.

Rhea’s plea filed by her lawyer stated, ” During her custody, Rhea was coerced into making self-incriminating confessions. Through an application made on Tuesday, Rhea has formally retracted all such incriminating confessions.” The plea also mentioned that with the circumstances surrounding her, she feared for her life in jail.

The plea further stated that there is nothing on record to prove that Rhea was in any way connected with the drugs. It also refused that she was involved in financing, illicit trafficking, or harboring of offenders about any narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.

Rhea’s lawyer also mentioned that the others who were arrested in the same offense have been granted bail but Rhea has been refused for the same.
