Marathi and Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Nishikant Kamat was reported to be admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad a few days ago. According to reports, Nishikant had suffered from cirrhosis of the liver in the past and that had relapsed.

According to reports, Nishikant’s death news is a hoax and the filmmaker is still on life support. Actor Sharad confirmed this news to ETimes. Filmmaker Milap Zaveri revealed that after speaking to a person present in the hospital, Milap was informed that Nishikant is fighting a battle for life. “Just spoke to someone who is with Nishikant in the hospital right now. He hasn’t passed away yet. Yes, he is v critical and fighting life and death. But he is still alive,” Milap tweeted.

Kamat has directed amazing films in the industry. He made his debut with a Marathi film and his first directed film became one of the super hits of Marathi cinema. After his debut in Marathi cinema, he entered Bollywood in 2008 with the film Mumbai Meri Jaan. Nishikant has directed critically acclaimed films like Drishyam, Fugay, and others.
