The Narcotics Control Bureau is probing the ongoing drug case which emerged from Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Currently, the entertainment industry is under the scanner of the agency and the NCB had interrogated several people from the Bollywood as well as a few from the small screen for their alleged connection with the drug nexus.
On Friday and Saturday, top Bollywood actresses were interrogated by the NCB to record their statements in the ongoing drug case. Actress Rakul Preet Singh‘s name popped up after Rhea Chakraborty named her along with other Bollywood A-listers to the NCB during her interrogation. Rakul appeared before the agency on Friday to record her statement.
Rhea Chakraborty had named Sara Ali Khan as well and Sara appeared before the NCB on Saturday along with actresses Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor. The NCB had issued summons to Deepika, Shraddha, Sara, and Rakul on Wednesday.
As per reports, all the four actresses denied consuming drugs but had admitted other things. Rakul and Deepika had admitted chatting about drugs while Shraddha and Sara revealed a shocking detail about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The actresses also voluntarily surrendered their mobile phones to the NCB to corroborate their statements given to the agency. In the latest media reports, it is being suggested that now NCB will look into the financial data of Rakul, Sara, Shraddha, and Deepika.
According to reports, the agency was already checking the details of the credit card payments of actresses made over the last three years. The financial records are being checked to see whether any payment was made for procuring drugs.
The NCB has so far recorded statements of several people to get to the top of the drug nexus and bust the truth.
