NCB Deputy Director opens up on Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh being named in Drug Case

Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case is being investigated by 3 Central agencies, who are probing different angles of the case. Initially, Mumbai police were investigating the case, but after the late actor’s family appealed for the CBI inquiry, the case was handed over to the CBI. Following which, Enforcement Directorate is probing the money-laundering case through which he found evidence of drugs from Rhea Chakraborty‘s WhatsApp chat leading to the involvement of the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Now, the NCB had arrested Rhea Chakraborty on September 8 after grilling her for 3 days in a row and 4 days before Rhea, her brother Showik and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested. There were reports doing rounds that Rhea has named 25 Bollywood A-listers for consuming drugs. The list included names of Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and designer Simone Khambatta, and the NCB has today given confirmation about their names being surfaced during the interrogation.

Talking about the same, the deputy director of NCB KPS Malhotra has stated, “Their names have surfaced but right now we can’t comment on the further course of action.” Also, reports suggest that the decision on the summons of the 2 actresses and a designer is yet to be taken.

In the meantime, some reports stated that Rhea used to use her mother’s phone to make calls related to contrabands. Commenting on the same, KPS Malhotra said, “Few journalists are asking that whether Rhea used to make any contraband related calls from her mom’s phone. The same is not verified and not based on any facts of the investigation.”

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai and the probe is still ongoing.
