Amid the ongoing drug probe case, a video from Karan Johar‘s house party in the year 2019 has been making many rounds and it was being stated in several media reports that the video is under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau.
In the meanwhile, Karan Johar’s alleged close aide and Dharma Productions Executive Producer & Director Kshitij Ravi Prasad were today summoned by the NCB after a raid was conducted at his residence in Versova, Mumbai. As per the reports, the NCB officials have seized Marijuana and small amounts of weed from Kshitij’s house, and was escorted by the officials from his house.
However, Karan Johar who has been targeted, ever since the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, for supporting nepotism and giving it support has now opened up after such a long time about the video of his house party which was held in the year 2019.
Karan Johar issued an official statement stating he does not promote and consume drugs. Taking it to twitter from the Dharma Productions account, the producer issued his statement. In the statement he wrote, “Certain news channels, print/electronic media and social media platform(s) are wrongly and misleadingly reporting that narcotics were consumed at a party that I, Karan Johar hosted on July 28, 2019, at my residence. I had already clarified my position way back in 2019 that the allegations were false.”

Adding further he wrote that in view of the current malicious campaign, he is reiterating that allegations are completely false and baseless. He confirmed saying that no narcotics substance was consumed in his party. In bold letters, he wrote, “I WOULD LIKE TO UNEQUIVOCALLY ONCE AGAIN STATE THAT I DO NOT CONSUME NARCOTICS AND I DO NOT PROMOTE OR ENCOURAGE CONSUMPTION OF ANY SUCH SUBSTANCE”
He also cleared on being tagged as Kshitij Ravi Prasad or Anubhav Chopra’s close aide or aide and said that he doesn’t know these individuals personally and mentioned that neither he nor the Dharma Productions are responsible for what they do in their personal lives. He also mentioned that Anubhav Chopra is not an employee of the company and was only associated with the company for 2 months back in the year 2011-2013.
He also clarified Kshitij Ravi Prasad who has recently joined the sister company of Dharma Productions on a contractual basis.
Concluding his statement, he requested the media to exercise restraint, or else he would be taking legal actions to protect his rights.
