Late Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail on Wednesday morning by the Bombay High Court, after spending a month in jail. Rhea along with her brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant’s manager Samuel Miranda and Househelp Dipesh Sawant was sent to jail in a drug-related case filed against them by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)

Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail in the drug case but her brother Showik Chakraborty is still in judicial custody. The High Court dismissed Showik’s bail plea. The court said that Showik was in direct contact with drug peddlers.

Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail from Bombay High Court on 28 October, 28 days later. At the same time, her brother’s difficulties have not reduced yet. The court admitted that Showik was in direct contact with the drug peddlers and was also involved in making drug-related transactions. The High Court said, that, at this stage, the NCB has enough material to show that Showik was involved in illegal smuggling with drug peddlers.

The High Court observed that there were many transactions of money to buy ‘Weed’ from Shouwik’s account. The High Court said that he was supplying drugs to Sushant from a party. He was involved in the illegal trade of drugs. Showik is accused of being involved with drug peddlers Anuj Keshwani and Parihar. His bail petition has also been dismissed.
