On Wednesday morning, the Bombay High Court granted bail to actress Rhea Chakraborty, as she was under the judicial custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau for a month in Byculla jail. After filing the bail plea so many times, the actress was granted bail today by the Court.
However, before granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty, the Court put forward some conditions. As per the NDTV report, Rhea has to mark herself present for 10 days to Mumbai police. After coming out of jail, the actress was supposed to deposit her passport and is not allowed to travel outside the country without prior permission of the Bombay High court.
Adding more, Rhea has to pay a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh and she can also not meet any other witness of the case. As per the report, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has sought time to furnish the amount of her bail bond.
For the unversed, the Enforcement Directorate had found evidence of drugs from the actress’ WhatsApp chats which lead to the involvement of NCB, and the agency then grilled Rhea for 3 days in a row before arresting her on September 8.
Rhea spent a month in Byculla jail as she was under the judicial custody of the NCB. Rhea had earlier applied for bails but every time her bail plea got rejected by the court. However, along with Rhea, Sushant’s house servants Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant also got the bail today. But Rhea’s brother Showik is still under the judicial custody as his bail plea got rejected.
