Centre Accepts Bihar Government’s Request for CBI Probe in Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

On Tuesday, Bihar police demanded CBI inquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case. The late actor’s family gave a nod to for the CBI probe and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that he will soon start the process as he has gotten the nod from the family.

As reported by a news portal, the Centre has accepted the Bihar government’s request recommending a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the Supreme Court was informed on Wednesday.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told that Centre has given its nod for a CBI probe into the matter before he appeared in the Supreme Court.

Also, today Rhea Chakraborty has her hearing in the apex court for the petition seeking transfer of investigation in the case registered against her from Patna to Mumbai.

Sushant was found dead on June 14 in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. Late actor’s father filed an FIR against Rhea on July 25 which included Rhea’s family as well. “The state government has sent its recommendation for a CBI inquiry into the case filed by Mr. K K Singh, the father of late Sushant Singh Rajput,” Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had tweeted.
