On Wednesday, the Supreme Court announced its verdict on the petition filed by Rhea Chakraborty to transfer the case to the Mumbai police. Supreme Court in its verdict handed over the case to CBI and also validated the Bihar government’s recommendation for a CBI probe. Supreme Court has also asked Mumbai police to provide all the evidence and reports of the case made so far to the CBI.
Now, CBI has started its investigation with S.I.T (Special Investigation Team) and has approached Mumbai police for SSR’s death case files. Times Now reported that the CBI will also recreate the crime scene with forensic experts and carry out a dummy test at Sushant’s apartment in Bandra where he was found dead on June 14.
Also, the latest development in the case is that Sushant‘s family have got their statements recorded for the second time now. As per the reports by Times Now, CBI has recorded Sushant’s family’s statement twice and also recorded statements of some people who are related to the case.

The portal also reported that the late actor’s family have mentioned it to the S.I.T that the family’s FIR in February was not taken seriously by Mumbai police. Sushant’s brother-in-law sent messages to the former DCP of Bandra. The portal quoted a source saying, “These Mumbai Police officials will be examined by CBI SIT.”
It is reported that the BMC commissioner has asked the CBI to apply for exemption from the ongoing quarantine rules if they are going to stay for more than seven days in the city for the investigation.
