Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. The Mumbai police were initially probing the case but then Sushant’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty against cheating, abetment to suicide, and theft after which the case was investigated by Bihar police as well. But due to non-cooperation from Mumbai police to Bihar police, the Bihar government recommended the CBI probe. Rhea filed a petition to transfer the case to Mumbai police but later the Supreme Court handed over the case the CBI.
Now, CBI has been probing the case since the time it got the authority to investigate and without any delay, they’ve been interrogating as well as investigating the case. According to India Today reports, three officers of the CBI who are part of the investigation team in SSR’s death case has told the portal independently that they haven’t found any proof of murder so far in the case.
The CBI officials further added that they’re probing the case and are focusing on the suicide aspect of the case now and will examine if abetment to suicide can be concluded from the investigation.
The CBI has already recreated a crime scene at Sushant’s apartment, has done a dummy test there, and also interrogated Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Apart from that Sushant’s cook Neeraj, flatmate Sidharth Pithani and house help Dipesh Sawant have been interrogated by the CBI.
CBI questioned the late actor’s cook, flatmate and house help repeatedly for days as their statements contradicted each other. Rhea’s interrogation also lasted 4 days and today her parents are being interrogated by the CBI.
