Alaya F made her debut into Bollywood in 2020 with the film, Jawaani Jaaneman with Saif Ali Khan, playing the role of his daughter. Alaya earned lots of praises and appreciations for her performance and recently also won the Best Debutante of the year award for her film.
Overwhelmed by the achievement, Alaya shares, “It is a feeling that I can’t even describe, as I wasn’t even sure if there would be a Filmfare Awards this year due to the pandemic. I was afraid of missing out on such big things as it is something that I really wanted. Best Debut is an award that you get only one chance at; you get it or you don’t, there’s no second shot at it. And the Filmfare Award was right at the centre of my vision board that I see every morning after waking up.”
She further added, “Sometimes, I still can’t believe that it has happened. At those times, I go back to see all my photos and videos from the event to make myself believe it again. It’s like a stamp of approval on the work that I have done. It’s such a special feeling that has motivated me a lot more, that I am setting a couple new goals for me now.”
She also added, “I put up shelves on my wall the day I got to know Filmfare was happening. I just thought I am going to manifest it even more and these shelves are going to be just for that.”
The best debutante has been gaining followers one her social media ever since her release as she keeps fans engaged with her bubbly and candid #AlayaAF series as well as her posts on fitness, dance, makeup and much more.
She was also seen in her first ever music video directed by Punit Malhotra recently, Aaj Sajeya where she plays a millenial bride. She has been receiving lots of love for the same as the video has clocked more than 14 million views in no time.
