Late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan‘s elder son Babil Khan is quite active on social media. He often shares pictures and videos of himself and his loved ones on his Instagram account, as he enjoys quite a good fan following there.
Recently, Babil opened up about the ‘religious discrimination’ he has been facing off lately. In his story, Babil mentioned how he can’t express anything about the people in power without his team telling him that it may be career-ending what he has to say. He further added that he is scared and afraid and wants to feel free again.
Citing personal experience, Babil wrote, “Mandatory holiday for Eid cancelled on Friday while holiday for Raksha Bandhan on Monday still given. Okay then no problem, I’ll just celebrate Eid when it’s not Eid on Saturday.”
“I know the whole world is in f***ing frenzy but our beautiful secular India’s sudden relapse of the religious divide is honestly getting scary. I have friends that have stopped communicating with me because I’m of a certain religion. Friends I played cricket with when I was 12. I miss my friends. My Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, human friends. I just miss not giving a f*** about what surname I was born with.” He said in another story.
Babil said he’s certain that his posts would invite hateful comments like “anti-national” or “go to Pakistan.”. Here are rest of the stories –
