Bollywood actress-turned-global star Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for ‘Quantico 3’ & she will wrap-up the show very soon. There has been various reports regarding her next Bollywood film since a long time but here comes a great news for her fans. It is now confirmed that Priyanka will feature opposite bollywood Superstar Salman Khan in Ali Abaas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’.
Yes, you read that right! Priyanka & Ali have confirmed the same to a leading daily about the casting coup.
Ali opened-up about signing Priyanka for ‘Bharat’ & told the leading daily that, “Bharat is Priyanka’s homecoming to Bollywood after having proved herself as a performer in a global TV show, Quantico, and in Hollywood. Bharat is rooted in India and its culture, spans over seven decades and travels across the world. Priyanka is the biggest Indian artist globally today and a perfect fit for the film as she brings to the table her incredible talent and international appeal.”
Ali further added that, “Bharat is a mature, subtle love story and her character is the soul of the film. She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Salman in his journey and is the catalyst who triggers what will be a turning point in the plot.”
Reportedly, Ali Abbas Zafar along with ‘Bharat’ producer Atul Agnihotri went to New York recently to give a narration to Priyanka. She liked the script & said ‘yes’ immediately.
All set to be back in Bollywood after 2 years, Priyanka is very excited for the film. Speaking about the same, she told Pune Mirror that, “I’m looking forward to working with Salman and Ali after a considerable time. I’ve learnt a lot from them during our previous collaborations and I am excited to see what this one has to offer. I’m also looking forward to working with Atul, Alvira and the entire team. After working in films like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, Salaam-e-Ishq’ & ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, Salman & Priyanka will be reuniting after 10 years in ‘Bharat’.
